Congress score a hat-trick in Delhi
December 8, 2008
Sheila Dikshit again become the CM of Delhi, this is a third time for congress to make their government in Delhi. The BJP leader Vijay Malhotra most expected candidate for CM has been defeated by congress. Congress has occupied 42 seats where as BJP only 21.
In Rajasthan also congress has won 96 seats whereas BJP 77. This is a very big defeat for BJP in Delhi, Rajasthan, Mizoram. This result will surely boast the congress party for lok sabha election. The emerging results to Assembly polls show a 3:2 split in
favour of Congress, providing a much-needed boost to the UPA just ahead of general elections due in April-May 2009. It will give Congress the breathing space it needs to tackle the fallout of the Mumbai attacks and an economic slowdown.
