‘T10 Gully cricket’ league has Ishant Sharma in a bit of the spott-10
Ishant Sharma is in trouble due to signing on as the brand ambassador for a new ‘T10 Gully cricket’ league. The appearance at the launch of a new ‘T10 Gully cricket‘ league has Ishant Sharma in a bit of the spot. The BCCI is apparently not too happy with the young bowler for signing on as the brand ambassador for this event. But the organisers argue there is no conflict of interest between them and the bosses of Indian cricket.
The BCCI do not want the Indian team who all are in contract with them to endorse or be the brand ambassador for any other board. The organizers of this league want to give new chance to all those who have not played much cricket and can give an opportunity to show there talent. This is primarily a tournament for those who have not played first class cricket. So they are not under the provision of the board anyway,” said the organisers of the tournament.
The man handling the tournament is former India coach Lalchand Rajput, who believes this tournament is ideally suited for newcomers.

Congress score a hat-trick in Delhi
Sheila Dikshit again become the CM of Delhi, this is a third time for congress to make their government in Delhi. The BJP leader Vijay Malhotra most expected candidate for CM has been defeated by congress. Congress has occupied 42 seats where as BJP only 21.
In Rajasthan also congress has won 96 seats whereas BJP 77. This is a very big defeat for BJP in Delhi, Rajasthan, Mizoram. This result will surely boast the congress party for lok sabha election. The emerging results to Assembly polls show a 3:2 split in
favour of Congress, providing a much-needed boost to the UPA just ahead of general elections due in April-May 2009. It will give Congress the breathing space it needs to tackle the fallout of the Mumbai attacks and an economic slowdown.

Petrol prices to be cut by Rs 5, diesel by Rs 2
The UPA Government has decided to cut the price of petrol by Rs 5 per litre and diesel by Rs 2 per litre from Saturday, leaving cooking gas LPG unchanged. This would put extra money into people’s pockets this would help in controlling the economic crisis. It would also reduce the inflationary pressure on the wholesale price index where Fuel, Power, Light & Lubricants Group has a weight of 14.23 percent.

Inflation falls to 8.40 pct, at 7-month low
After a long wait the Inflation fell to its lowest in nearly seven months to 8.40 per cent, giving RBI enough room for deeper rate cuts to propel the economy. The rate, measured by wholesale prices, eased for the fourth straight week and was lower by 0.44 percentage points in the seven-day period ending
November 22 from the previous week. Prime Minster Manmohan Singh would come up with more fiscal and monetary policy that would help in controlling the share market and growth of country. Now it seems that things will be more positive as our new finance minister Manmohan Singh has taken charge and his experience would help in overcoming the economic crisis.

To counter the impact of global recession on the Indian economy, the Indian government yesterday (December 7) announced a package which will increase its development expenditure, ease funds availability for infrastructure and provide cheaper credit for housing and labour-intensive exports.
The Planning Commission deputy chairman, Montek Singh Ahluwalia, said the package will help to overcome impact of weak global economy on the Indian economy” and help achieve a seven per cent growth rate. This would be helping in the growth of the economy.
